I have been gradually constructing these collages during the past year and am happy that Project78 will show them as part of editions18 this christmas and new year. They are hand painted in Lascaux Acrylic colours with Gel medium onto acid free board and then laser cut (thanks Duncan, Dave Berrick and all at Downlands school), Next, the individual pieces are cleaned and finally assembled onto antique white acid free board. I have used Lascaux 360HV; conservation quality adhesive. The acrylic paints (and I believe they are probably the best you can get) belonged to my brother Jonny and these collages contain structural forms that refer to some of his later paintings - they have also been made in his memory.
Patrick Adam jones at Project 78 has them at a realistic price considering the labour involved in their construction. They are a variable edition of 10 and whilst I do intend to make more collages, they will be different.
The gallery is open from 15th Dec - 19th january 2019 in Norman Road in St Leonards on Sea, east Sussex. It is open Wednesday’s - Saturday’s 10:00 - 17:00
